Galaxy Sports

Ok well our new game we are working on is Galaxy Sports. It is a series of various sport minigames for individual sports. We would appreciate your help if possible because all of these minigames will be for the new, free galaxy arcade site.

The Galaxy Sports will start production today and hopefully we can finish the minigames quickly. There will be about 5-10 minigames in all, possibly more, and each minigame should be generally different. We will put good effort into it to make it as good as possible, but also as fast as possible.

The ways you can help is give us ideas for sports, and what types of minigames for each sports. You can design graphics, beta test, program, VARIOUS things. If you want to do anything else it will be Greatly appreciated.

Well, you know that is areally good briefing. Lol? I mean, Each person needs to do ONE minigame if they want, as seen there. That's pretty weird I think, I mean, isn't this supposed to be an integration of everyones contributions?

When did I ever say everyone needs to do one minigame?

OK, that was a mess up. Interpreted it wrong. What I mean is that you aren't supplying enough information.

I mean: What shoudl we design? Clothes? Balls? Landscapes? What should we program Baseball games? Basketball games?

Ok. Well we need to decide what game we are working on first. I think the simplest would be a driving game or biking game or something like that. So we need a sprite for the car, a road or track, some obstacles, and some programming.

I am not completely sure what we are doing what does everyone else think we should do? I was thinking like a certain theme of obstacles for every 5 levels and there can be like 30 levels, so 6 themes. Like the first theme will be like dodging fruit or something.

I can do the car, and a bike. Do you want the side view of each?

Hmm..... For the car do a bird eyes view, and for the bike do the side view of it riding to the right. So the back is pointing to the right.

I say we keep all the graphics private so can someone make a project design subject area thing were only designers can use?

I disagree. Since this is a community it is meant to be public and less private and secretive business. I mean there can be SOME surprises in like graphics or a new project or something but not something like graphics just so only designers can see them.

I think the design and development should be behind closed doors as well. As much as you may want to be public and transparent, the graphics and code would be in an almost raw form. Which makes it exceedingly easy to copy, no screenshoting or decompiling necessary.
